LeBron James has been voted "player you wish was on your team" by fellow players every year the question has been asked by the NBAPA
The NBAPA began the players' choice awards in 2015. Every season since then except for 2018 they have asked players to vote for the player they wish was on their team. LeBron has won this award every year.
Apart from Kyrie, not sure where the idea that guys around the league don't want to play with LeBron comes from.

NEWS FLASH: Players want best player in world on team
That said, it's obvious that being on a team with LeBron does add some pressure to the situation

It's also been a 1 way ticket to the NBA finals for the last decade.

all tickets to any playoff round are one-way

Also, one factor would be position. Like every point guard won't vote for Curry, but Small Forwards won't hesitate to have LeBron because that's a more flexible situation, as they can still play with LeBron on small ball, or as SG when going big. No way Point Guard would think they will play SG next to Curry, or vice versa. They should release the statistics to these surveys like which position they play, years in league, age, etc.

I think the theory is that stars don't want to play with LBJ and average joe's do. There are way more average joes than stars, so it makes sense LBJ would get more votes. This is just a theory though. I really don't know how true "stars not wanting play with LBJ" is.

Average players would kill for Lebron to be on their team...they’ve seen Tristan Thompson and JRs contracts
[–]kyrieeleisen23 170 points 5 days ago
More like mozgov and delly contracts.
[–]KnickedUp 114 points 5 days ago
I think everyone wants him, but its much cooler to act like you dont care when asked publically... ya know?

The reason the Cavs were never able to bring in talent is because they handled their salaries horribly. They never could sign good free agents. Def not because people didn’t want to play with Lebron

So 3 years. 2015, 2016, and 2017.
Every season since then except for 2018
"Up until this year..."
the way you chose to write this post is incredibly strange.

Not trying to be a hater, but that doesn't really refute the claim that all-star/superstar players don't want to play with Lebron. It's very possible that the vast majority of players (who are role players) want to play with Lebron because he is a great floor raiser and his teams are always relevant, but all-star players don't because they will get overshadowed.

It isn't dispositive, but we have seen all star players want to play with LeBron previously and we have this survey where the plurality of players voted for him as the player they want on their team.
On the other side the only evidence of players not wanting to play with LeBron is Kyrie's trade demand.
